Winter Show

The Meaning of Time
Here's something i thought would be interesting to translate. First i'll explain, "i was in McDonalds and a worker says to a customer "Your fries will be ready in 18 seconds."
18 seconds? Where did that come from? Is there some crazy algorithm that works out to 18 second fries? Anyway, the fries took about a minute, which made me think. People always use exact measurements of time that they actual don't mean. For example, i'll be there in a sec. Be there in 5. So i figured i would take a stab at translating it so we can finally know how long people actually mean!! Is this dumb? yes..., lets continue. 1 second means (when i'm ready, about 1 minute, or don't bother me!) 2 seconds means (anywhere from 15 seconds - 2 minutes) 3 seconds means (10 - 15 seconds) 5 seconds means ( 5 seconds, in my experience when people say 5 seconds, they usually mean it.) Side note, other people love to count down those 5 seconds and keep you honest. Also, don't you hate the people that make the joke of counting 1 second when you say 1 second. you know they go ( "1"). also dumb. 8 seconds means (1 minute) 1 minute means (5 minutes) A minute means (a few minutes or let me finish what i'm doing) 5 Minutes means (15 minutes) 15 Minutes means (anywhere between 15 minutes and 30 minutes) In my own life this seems correct for the general majority, not those people who are so late you can't believe it.
